ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES
Broome County’s natural resources provide numerous benefits from abundant supplies of clean water to high quality stands of hardwood timber, as well as many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The County has also faced a number of challenging environmental issues, ranging from contamination associated with past industrial practices to the current debate surrounding natural gas development.
